Tomoya Ougishiba
A singer-songwriter from Osaka Prefecture.
He began his career in 2018.
He offers a unique reinterpretation of contemporary folk music, which he calls "Soul Folk" and "Neo Folk," and continues to explore and create folk elements across all musical genres.
He has released five albums to date.
He fosters indigenous and creative exchanges both domestically and internationally, organizing his own events, launching the folk music collective "Shayō-ku" to stage performances, and conducting annual tours of Seoul and Busan, South Korea, starting in 2024.

Born in 1997 to a pastor in Osaka. He taught himself to play the bass guitar in junior high school, and moved to Tokyo when he entered university. While still in school, he began performing and was exposed to highly improvisational music such as jazz, free improvisation, and noise music. Currently, he has moved his base to Kansai. In addition to playing and improvising on the electric bass, he also supports bands, composes music for plays, and performs a wide variety of other activities.
