Yousei Suzuki
A Japanese musician based in Osaka.
While his work centers on acoustic guitar instrumentals, he also performs vocals and piano.
He also performs improvisational music.
Drawing on influences from American Primitive guitar, folk songs, and alternative music, he explores a musical expression that is minimalist and serene, evoking a sense of prayer and introspection.
In 2013, he released a work on the American tape label “Sciissor Tail Editions.”
Since then, he has released acoustic guitar instrumental works and vocal albums, releasing his music in various formats such as CDs, cassette tapes, and digital downloads.
Moving fluidly between improvisation and composition, he continues to create music that emphasizes the negative space and the very resonance of sound itself.
Additionally, through his own label, “Senri Records,” he releases small-batch, intimate musical works—primarily on cassette tape—and is also involved in promoting the work of other artists.
